Ann Wildmon artist
I've been a painter since I can remember. My art teacher at Dunwoody High was the one who showed me the love of art and all that was possible. Portrait painting in the Barbara Bauer Studio in Atlanta was my first taste of what a joy portrait painting is. She was brilliant. I graduated from Berry College and Auburn University with a degree in Visual Communications. (Design and Illustration) After four years of freelance graphic design contracts at four Atlanta ad agencies I went to work for BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Corporation in the graphics department. |

In twelve years I had the opportunity: * to design, construct, and/or style 5 Award winning BellSouth trade show booths, * design and build 31 "Mr. Real Pages"mascot costumes for a 5 state region * produce, style, set design, and prop over 25 BellSouth industrial videos (one PSA Commercial spot won a coveted Telly Award) * paint a portrait of the BellSouth Advertising & Publishing President, Don Perozzi In a diverse and goofy career, I've dabbled in many different media: * I've propped and assistant stylist in two movies. * Set design for one TV show, set designed a nationally released video lecture series, * Interior Decorator for Rico's restuarant, and numerous residental clients * Costume design for numerous plays around Atlanta (Nominated by the Metro Atlanta Theatrical Association for "Costume Designer of 2005" for Beauty & The Beast with the Henry Players) winners will be announced 8/06. * Calligrapher for hire. * Taught art and calligraphy |
Now, in a full circle, I'm back to oil painting. Multiple wonderful portrait workshops this summer have focused me once again. Painting with Daniel Greene in New York was a highlight in my life. Valerie Stewart's workshop was a real joy! With the wonderful art community here at the Gallery in Covington, I look forward to a plugging in and creating art-a-plenty.
